We humans are always surpassed as an uncertain, roving
species due to our nature. Our quest to discover new and old are such characteristics
that set us as humans apart from other living beings. The world we live in has
gone through many natural disasters that have left behind some abandoned, places,
cities and ghost towns which tell us things about the past in a visceral way.
There are many reasons why below towns, cities and places
are abandoned. Pripyat in Ukraine for
example is considered to be the worst symbol of human-caused disaster. Some
abandoned cities and ghost towns have become time capsules and are almost
untouched since the departure of their last residents years ago. Ghost towns in
the American West are popular tourist attractions while others are abandoned or
simply forgotten.
