“Each sculpture is constructed using an additive technique, layered from inside to out by an accumulation of innumerable tiny components.”

Hyper-realistic Sculptures are Made Entirely of Wood by Tom Eckert

Artist and Professor Tom Eckert uses traditional processes to carve these hyper-realistic sculptures of everyday objects entirely made of wood. He uses plenty of carpentry techniques in his creative sculptured pieces, such as constructing, bending, laminating, carving and painting.

After receiving his M.F.A. degree from Arizona State University, Eckert began teaching at the university. He has exhibited his work in over 150 national and international exhibitions. Recently his incredible artwork has been featured in the Netherlands after getting lot of appreciation throughout the United States.

Creative and talented artist Robert Mickelsen created Beautiful transparent sculptures from glass. Mickelsen is a globally known glass artist acclaimed for creating detailed images that resemble familiar objects, animals and humans. He was born in 1951 in Fort Belvoir , Virginia and raised in Honolulu , Hawaii.

His work is exhibited in many prominent collections including the Renwick Gallery of American Crafts at the Smithsonian Institution, the Corning Museum of Glass, the Carnegie Museum of Art,  the Pilchuck Glass School and the Museum of American Glass at Wheaton Village.
