Vibrant And Colorful Rock Formations In China'S Danxia Landform Geological Park

Believe it or not, but these stunning rainbow-colored rock formations are actually real and exists in Zhangye Danxia Landform Geological Park, in China. These unusual, vibrant and colorful rocks are the results of red sandstone and other minerals pressed together over 24 million years because of tectonic plate movements.

Thousands years of rain and wind have shaped the rocks into magnificent technicolor range and at first glance it seems like a beautiful geological "layer cake".  This wonderful region near the city of Zhangye has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2010 and declared a national geological park in 2011.
