Closing Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games started at 9pm (GMT) on 12 August 2012. More than 4,100 performers take part in it including 380 schoolchildren and 3,500 adult volunteers. The closing ceremony marked the end of an incredible chapter in London's life. For the United Kingdom, this was their best performance in medal achievement in last 104 years.

The ceremony started with a huge set featuring iconic London landmarks including St Paul’s Cathedral, The Gherkin, Tower Bridge, The London Eye, Battersea Power Station and Royal Albert Hall.
