Life Without Mom: Old Wedding Photos Recreated To Say Goodbye To Late Mother
This is a fascinating series of photographs posted by Ben Nunery and his young daughter Olivia to say goodbye to their old home and to their wife and mother Ali who died tragically from cancer at the age of 31 in 2011. In 2009 when Ben and his late wife Ali got married they also purchase a new home and got the opportunity to take their wedding photos in the empty home.
After the death of Ali, Ben decided to leave the old house with his young daughter Olivia and move to the new house. Before leaving the old house they came up with an idea to recreate special photoshoot to remember the happy times.
Ben Nunery shares his personal experience in these words, “Many people have asked me how I felt while doing that photo session. What I want them to know is that this isn’t a story about grief and loss and hurt. Yes, I’ve gone through those emotions and still do but that’s not what I want people to see in these photos. This is a story about love.”
