Breathtaking Shots of NYC Subway Taken in 1946 By Stanley Kubrick
Before Stanley Kubrick new that he is becoming the history’s
most famous director of films like: A Clockwork Orange, A Space Odyssey and The
Shining, he started his career as a photographer for Look magazine at a very
young age of 17.
For more than a period of two weeks in 1946, Kubrick has
been capturing some breathtaking moments of people's daily lives on the New
York City Subway. He took more than 15,000 shots and completed 129 assignments
during his tenure at LOOK. Most of Kubrick’s photographs features candid, intimate
and humorous moments of couples, families and passengers of all type and sex.
