There could be no any other joyful moment in the life of a
woman than having a cute little baby. ‘One Day Young’ is a beautiful series of
photographs by London-based photographer Jenny Lewis in which she documents
touching portraits of mothers and their one-day-old babies.
"My aim is to capture the extraordinary bonding, warmth and strength between mother and infant. In fact the whole range of amazing emotions felt at that time, as the mothering instinct kicks in. Having had a home birth, I am particularly interested in catching this moment of intimacy in the home, where the outside world has not burst the bubble..."
These powerful photos were taken within 24 hours of the
births in the homes of each woman and you can see the expression of joy, love,
emotion and pride right from the images.
