Amazing Overlapping Images by Ho Ryon Lee
Korean artist Ho Ryon Lee has created a unique art by showing little movement in his paintings called “overlapping images”. The women in these paintings are not frozen rather they are busy in some kind of work like fastening the lashes of shoe, slowly sliding into their stockings and readjusting their skirts. They are dancing on the floor without wearing any pants and carelessly dropping themselves over furniture.
Lee first takes photos of his models in set poses, and then uses Photoshop to merge the various shots of photos together. The resulting images serve as the source material for his oil paintings on canvas. While the paintings reflect movement, they also exude slow-motion sensuality.
