Bizarre Sketches Transform Everyday Objects into Delightful Illustrations

Artist Victor Nunes in his recent series “Faces,” combines ordinary objects such as pairs of scissors to pumpkin seeds in order to produce incredible faces, animals and other wildly animated scenes. Nunes has an amazing sense of humor and his art is a wonderful example of pareidolia that make us to look faces in most delightful and unusual places.

The artist started off with sketchbook doodles and adds old wine corks, coffee mugs, popcorn and various other every-day objects filled with goofy line drawings and sketches and the results are both comical and weird at the same time. 

Creative Illustrations Depicting New York City on the Surface of Other Planets

Graphic designer and Illustrator Nickolay Lamm partner up with astrobiologist Marilyn Vogel to create an interesting series of illustrations showing what New York City would look like if it were on the surfaces and atmospheres of other planets in our solar system. The images, created for StorageFront.com with the help of Marilyn Vogel, a former NASA Ames Research Center employee who provide detail description of each planet to Lamm.

According to Nickolay Lamm the idea to create these mock-up photographs depicting the Statue of Liberty and New York's skyscrapers came to his mind while looking at some awe-inspiring photos of Mount Sharp taken by NASA's Curiosity rover.

Hoong explains that illusion has the ability to give false or misleading information to the viewer that's why he loves his art of making illustrations.

He is famous for his thought provoking negative space artwork. He used famous quotes from Albert Einstein, Steve Jobs, and more in his illustrations. Hoong creatively put two half eaten apples and paired it with "Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish", one of Steve Job's famous quotes.
